Urgent Vista Uninstalation

I installed Vista and I like it and its features, but I need to uninstall it and go back to my previous Xp Home Edition so I can do the things I was planning to do this month. I want to uninstall it and keep my files and settings and go back to my Xp Home Edition. My recovery portion of my HDD is thier, but the F11 activation is gone, so I can not activate it. My video card can't keep Vista stable and its sucking all of my spare RAM so I cant play my games like I could. I will countinue to look into uninstalling it myself with my current resources but I need help incase I don't find a answer. Please post any help to my question. thank you

You cannot rollback Vista to XP. The only way to get back to XP is a clean installation. The files and settings transfer wizard in Vista will not work to restore the files and settings to XP. If the f11 function is not working then you need to contact the manufacturer of your computer for assistance. You may be able to purchase restore cd's. You should manually back up your files to cd or dvd. The Vista settings will not likely work out if transferred to XP.
You should visit the manufacturer's website and download the drivers for the NIC, mobo, video, etc and burn them to a cd in preparation for a clean install.
Why did you upgrade your production or primary OS? Did you not read all the warnings on the MS site before downloading?

You can't. Didn't you bother to read the included information?

Back up your files to CD/DVD and it is format/reinstall time.

You need a key for your WinXP Home - it should be on a label on the case of your computer, and you need a WinXP Recovery CD - it should be available from the manufacturer of your computer, - if both conditions fail, go into a shop and buy a SBE of WinXP,
then you may install WinXP and during that process delete the Vista partition (you will have your files in folders on another partition and saved your addresses and e-mails there!). The boot sector will be overwritten by WinXP. Be prepared that your settings are gone and all software has to be installed (including all drivers).

As the OP noted, he only has a recovery partition and F11 no longer works. It is a laptop, so there is even more involved due to proprietary drivers. Simply installing retail XP will not be sufficient. When you try to help someone, please read the original posting for issues like these.

Press Anykey. theoreticly it should work, and the Vista instalation didnt have any warning, it said read this for warning then it just described Vista then had a paragraph about Direct X or something of that matter.

You should still download XP drivers from the manufacturer's website and put them on a cd before you start. You may not have internet connectivity following the reinstallation of XP.

do you call the red-letter text on: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/preview.mspx? You pass through this page on the way to the download.

I fail to understand why antone would install beta-vista over thier XP install. This is "BETA" and its an OS. For this reason I would only install vista on a second partition, or better yet a secondary hard drive (like I did). Formatting and going back to XP really seems normal to me if you copied over your origional install.
If you are going to load vista I think you should be prepared to keep the install and provide feedback to help the process.

Maybe they think beta refers to the colorful fish.

Fine - congrats! And... how did you manage your roll-back?
Roy

He didn't roll back. He got back to XP with a clean install.

From "the recovery portion of my HDD"?

That would be what would happen from the recovery partition. In any case, he said
"I fixed it, everythign is back to normal AFTER TWELVE HOURS OF REFORMATING AND RECONFIGUREING IM BACK TO XP!!!!!"
which did sound to me like a clean install. In any case it cannot be a rollback. Vista just won't do it.
